1st 2023 General Body Meeting: PPC

On March 23rd, the NOMAS e-board team hosted their first general body meeting of the year. With 20 students of Nathelyne Archie-Kennedy Architecture Building in attendace, this meeting was anything but uniform. During the meeting, the students learned about the culture of their NOMAS chapter, their goals, and what they strived to achieve here at Prairie View. Whether it was the e-board positions, committees available to join, or fun future events coming up, they wanted to ensure that each student was included.

In the image above, the 2022-23 Planning Chair, Charlotte Lundy, put together a joint event along with the general body meeting to make it as energetic and interactive as possible! Pizza and drinks fueled their hunger to compete in the Paper Plane Competiton. After explaining the rules, each student was given 15 minutes to create the best paper plane they could, and whoever's plane flew the furthest won a trophy designed in our on campus fabrication lab. First place was given to Jordan Guidry, Second place was given to Kirban Keller Jr. and last place was given to Darwin Dawson II. After the competition concluded, there was a free range throwing session where they threw each airplane iteration they made before the final flight. This meeting was uniquely thought out to say the least. Hope to see you at the next event!
